2019 NFL Week 2 Best Bets

United Gamblers – NFL Week 2 – Lucky 7 Best Bets

It feels so good to be back! Week 1 already delivered some great games, last second winners, backdoor covers, and 4th quarter comebacks. Hope you were able to make some money on week 1. If not, well, plenty of time and weeks to make up for it. If you are in New Jersey and want to place your bets online, check out the best sports betting sites in NJ.

Here are my lucky 7 bets for the NFL week 2!

Straight Up Winner (Moneyline Bet): Carolina Panthers -290

After a hard fought game against the Super Bowl runner up, the Panthers will be hungry for another chance to win at home playing Thursday night. The Bucs are not good.

Point Spread: Arizona Cardinals +13

Vegas is preying upon recency bias here. After a dominating win against the Dolphins, the Ravens do look good. However, the Cardinals showed they could hang and erased an 18 point deficit in the 4th quarter to tie the Lions. The Ravens should win, just not by 13. Expect this line to come way down. If you can get it now at 13, do it.

Straight Up Winner (Moneyline Bet): Green Bay Packers -156

I liked Aaron Rodgers and the Packers getting +3 odds from most sports betting sites to kick off the season. And I’m doubling down on the Pack to beat the division rival Vikings in their home opener. Many people stay away from divisional games, but don’t be afraid. Like Rodgers said, he has a defense now. I have a feeling A Rodg will go for much more than 203yds/1TD.

Point Spread: Kansas City Chiefs -7.5

The Chiefs just dismantled one of the better defenses in the league, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now they head to Oakland to face a much, much worse Raiders’ defense. On a short week after a hard fought win, the Raiders should come back to reality and the Chiefs should roll all over them.

Total Points: Over 40.5 Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos

I know, this one could be scary. Two good defenses (although the Broncos didn’t show it Monday against the Raiders) and two offenses who underperformed week 1 are the reason this total is so low. I think the offenses both shake off the rust, and/or we see some turnovers that lead to defensive scores.

Player Prop: Christian McCafrey OVER 6.5 receptions (-115)

McCaffrey proved he is the focal point of this offense. When these two teams face each other the game is usually a slobberknocker, so I expect lots of dump offs to the star running back. Tampa Bay’s defense is also suspect. Most sports betting sites are giving 6.5 receptions, a number too low not to take a chance.

Player Prop: Ronald Jones OVER 42.5 rushing yards (-130)

Coach Bruce Arians has said he will use the hot hand at running back. He stayed true to that statement in week 1 where Jones saw just a tad more carries than his counterpart Peyton Barber. I think Jones keeps that momentum rolling against the Panthers Thursday night.
