Monday Morning Sports Betting QB: Wild Weekend

The 2019 Wildcard weekend for the NFL is in the books.  And it certainly was a wild ride, as is always the case when it comes to sports betting.  Wannamakeabet.com saw tons of action on all the games and we were very happy that each game ended with enough time to come back to the site and bet on the next game.    Today’s Monday morning sports betting QB will recap all four games that took place on Saturday and Sunday and look ahead to this coming week’s divisional playoff games.

There’s still plenty of time to get into the NFL Playoffs League at WANNA.  Everyone gets 50,000 units per week to bet with against all the spreads from all the games.   We are giving away a guaranteed $500 prize pool.  Click here for more details.

Colts Dominate

The Indianapolis Colts went into Houston and absolutely dominated the Texans en route to a 21-7 victory.  This was a very popular bet at both WANNA and through the legal sports betting worlds of Vegas and Jersey.   Our senior analyst Jack Kincaid nailed it also as he went an impressive 3 for 4 on the weekend.   Often times, when the general public piles on a game like this it scares off people from jumping on board.  But if you went against this wave of betting on Saturday afternoon, you paid dearly.  Even the Houston teasers got blown out of the water as Deshaun Watson never really got anything going and even star receiver De’Andre Hopkins was essentially shut down and shut out.

The Colts are on fire having won 10 straight games.  They’ll need everything they have as they head into Kansas City this coming weekend for the divisional playoff game against Andy Reid and the Chiefs.  The Colts opened as a 5.5 point underdog and the total came out at a super high 56 and has already been pushed to 57.

Dallas Wins But Blows The Cover

The nightcap on Saturday featured the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Seattle Seahawks.  The gory details of the bad beat that unfolded at the end of this game are detailed here.

When all the dust settled, the Cowboys had won their first playoff game under Jason Garrett and now they have the difficult defensive task of having to go on the road to play the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night.  The Rams opened as a -7 favorite and the line has not moved in either direction yet.  The posted total on the game is 49.

Chargers Shut Down Lamar

Speaking of dominant AFC performances, the second game of the weekend between the Chargers and the Ravens was dominated by the Chargers.  As a three point dog they went into Baltimore and completely shut down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.  The final score of 23-17 did not reflect how much of a mismatch this actually was.  The Chargers improve to an impressive 8-1 on the road this season.

The Chargers will now travel to New England to try and beat the Patriots in one of the most difficult environments in the league to win.  The opening line on the game has the Pats as 4.5 point favorites with a more down to earth total at 47.

Bear Collapse

The rookie quarterbacks really struggled this weekend.  And the final game of the weekend would have one more tragic ending.  Mitch Trubisky only managed one touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Bears lost the game 15-16 as a last second field goal hit both crossbars and did not go through.   Kicker Cody Parkey is being dragged through the mud on social media today but it was the bears defense that was dragged through the mud on the final drive of the game.  They were not able to get off the field.  They couldn’t stop an 80 yard drive.  And they couldn’t stop a fourth and goal from inside the 5 yard line.

The incredible Nick Foles story continues.  The Eagles got the win for sports bettors with the points and on the moneyline and of course, every Bear teaser that was placed thinking “they just have to win the game” was not credited as a win.  Philly now has to go to New Orleans to face a Saint team that blew them out earlier this season.  The opening line on the game is an astounding Saints – 9.5 but has quickly been bet down to 8.  The total is 50.5.

That’s it for our Monday Morning Sports Betting QB: Wild Weekend article.  Make sure you check back with us in a few days to get Jack Kincaid’s predictions for the weekend.
