After leading by four on two separate occasions the Cleveland Indians ended up blowing the game to Detroit yesterday. I look for them to bounce back here and cover the 1.5 run line. Detroit calls up Ryan Carpenter for a spot start today. He is sporting a 5-plus era in the minors and struggled mightily in his last. Spot start. With Detroit having to use 4 relievers yesterday and expecting Cleveland to hit Carpenter well and early I look for the hot Indians offense to keep it rolling. Trevor Bauer has gone 6 innings in 6 of his last 7 and should have no problem going deep tonight.
Prediction: Cleveland Indians -1.5 over Detroit Tigers
Brandon Woodruff has been atrocious this year sporting a 8.03 era along with a 1.78 whip. With Arizona having the highest defensive efficiency rating in all of baseball, only committing 14 errors up to this point, if they are able to get ahead early on Woodruff their defense and bullpen should have no problem keeping a lead for them!
