Monday Morning QB 1/27- E.A.G.L.E.S – Eagles! and (sigh) Chiefs again

Super Bowl LIX is set!

Congratulations to all our friends, family, and customers in Philadelphia. You did it! After a convincing (55-23) win in yesterday’s NFC Championship game, the Eagles are going back to the big dance in New Orleans in two weeks for a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl with the Chiefs. There were so many “account ride” Eagles bets yesterday, which is always extra satisfying when you win big and it’s your team. We even think Giant fans up here in north Jersey and New York were secretly pulling for you and Saquon yesterday. Well done!

As for our friends, family, and customers in New York who are fans of the Buffalo Bills… well, they gave it their all. This is starting to remind us of Jim Kelly and the 90s Bills who were always a bridesmaid and never a bride. So many of us, including our Podcast hosts, were rooting with our hearts for the Bills last night to slay the dragon at Arrowhead. But the Chiefs prevailed again. As always, there will be plenty of talk of questionable, home town calls in a Chiefs game.  It reinforced how important home field advantage is at Arrowhead and how the Bills need to find a way to host that game if they’re ever going to win it.  But there is equal discourse on whether this Chiefs team is one of the best teams of all time in any sport. Either way, we’ve got a great Super Bowl in front of us and we’re looking forward to closing out the football season, as always, with a bang!
