World Series Game 5 – Astros @ Phillies

Word Series Game 5 – Astros @ Philles

We witnessed history in Game 4 with the Astros throwing a combined no hitter! Made it an easy winner for our Astros ML play however all the runs were scored in the 5th ruining our under 3.5 for the first five innings.

For game 5 the Phillies have elected to send out Noah Syndergaard an interesting move by the Phillies as Syndergaard has only pitched a few innings this postseason. Due to him not pitching in a while I would imagine that he is on a short leash tonight and it could turn into a bullpen game after a few innings. The Astros will send out Justin Verlander who in Game 1 looked like he was finally going to have a good start in the WS then the bad happened. Verlander let up 5 runs in 5 innings of work.

This is a tough handicap here in Game 5. With Syndergaard likely going only a few innings and it turning into a bullpen game. On the other side Verlander has yet to have a good start in the World Series. The Phillies will be eager to erase that no hitter from people’s minds and the Astros are starting to swing the bats so I think we will get runs here. Maybe this is the game Verlander pitches lights out, but I need to see that happen first. Give me the over 7.5!
