Rams and Pats in Super Bowl: Championship Sunday Review

It will go down in history as an NFC Championship game that Saint fans and players at Wannamakeabet.com will remember for the rest of their lives.  The day the NFC Championship was taken away from them by the referees.  The day that caused the league to review and change their “Challenge” protocol to include plays that were “not” called in addition to plays that were called.

However you slice it, the Rams are going to the Super Bowl and the Saints are going home after they lost to the Rams in overtime of the NFC Championship game 26-23.  The Rams won and covered as three point underdogs.  And they likely were going to cover anyway as 3.5 point underdogs.  Had the pass interference call that wasn’t called been called, the game would have ended with a New Orleans 23-20 final score.  Instead, it went to overtime and the Rams The game also stayed under the closing total of 56.5.

NFL Analyst Jack Kincaid goes 1-1 in his Championship Sunday predictions.

Pats Win Again.

Meanwhile, over in the AFC Championship game in Kansas City…  The Patriots.  Won.  Again.  The best team in the modern era held off a 24 point fourth quarter rally by the Chiefs after utter domination for the first three and a half quarters.  The game went to overtime.  Then the Pats won the coin toss.  Brady proceeded to take he ball down the field with Gronk and Edelman and won yet another AFC Championship game.  His eighth in a row.   Not surprisingly, the officials had a key call in that game as well.  On the final drive, Brady threw an interception that was called back because defensive end D Ford was lined up in the neutral zone.

So It will be Rams versus Patriots in the Super Bowl this year.  The Patriots opened as a 1.5 point favorite at Wannamakeabet.com and have already moved to 2.  the Over/Under opened at 57.5.
