Backdoor Cover Alert: Jags Get Cleveland On Late Sack

It’s a sickening feeling that browns fans know too well. The inept play of quarterback Deshone Kizer continued yesterday as the Browns lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 19-7.  Kizer’s inability to take care of the football late in the game reached a threshold right in front of the dog pound.  Late in the game, Cleveland was driving and trying to get the outright win against the Jacksonville Jaguars as a (7) seven point underdog.  At the time the score was 13-7 and it looked like Cleveland bettors had a chance to hit the board with a moneyline winner or at minimum get the pointspread cover as their run defense was keeping the Jags in check the entire afternoon.

But Cleveland’s hopes ended when Yannick Ngakoue sacked Kizer and knocked the ball into the end zone, where Smith recovered. Earlier, Ngakoue and Calais Campbell combined to sack Kizer, who fumbled as he fell and it was recovered near mid-field by Dante Fowler with 1:48 left.

Kizer continues to fumble and get sacked at the most inopportune moments this year that has equally infuriated fans, sports bettors, the front office and private league members at WANNA from LA to New York .  The loss, which sent the browns to 0-10 and their ATS record to 2-8 was especially painful, as many thought the Jags, who hobbled into Cleveland stadium on a blustery day might give the Browns their first win or at least, their third cover of the season.  But as Browns fans know too well, it wasn’t going to happen on this day.
