All lines are from Wannamakeabet.com at the time of this newsletter

  • Cleveland Browns +3 over Washington Commanders
    • Today is all about “mean regression” for both of these teams. Browns to the positive and Commanders to the negative.  The country is talking MVP for Daniels and best team in the East for the commanders but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Today the Commies meet a real defense who can hang with anyone in the league and get NJoku back on the field to help take some of the pressure off the struggling offensive line and receiving corps.

  • Buffalo Bills +1 over Houston Texans
    • The Bills ran into a buzz saw last Sunday night in Baltimore but have a much easier task this week.  Buff returns key linebackers to shore up the middle and Houston and their lack of running game and undisciplined offense (leading the league in penalties) won’t survive this matchup against a Buffalo team that is still among the best in the AFC despite the loss last week.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars -3 over Indy Colts
    • The Jags have dominated this matchup historically and the struggling Colts have a doubtful QB in Richardson and starting RB Taylor is also out.  On top of that, the Colts have just not looked very good this year.  Starting center Kelly for Indy is also doubtful.  This is a bit of an ugly pick but we’re going with the trends here and the dire need for Pederson to avoid the guillotine for at least another week and make true his proclamation that he hasn’t lost the locker room.

  • Seattle Seahawks -7.5 over New York Giants
    • Malik Nabers gets a 40% target share when he’s on the field and he won’t be making the trip to Seattle this week.  RB Singletary is also questionable for the Giants.  We realize the Hawks are coming off a tough loss Monday night to the Lions (short week) but should still have plenty of fire power to get the win and cover against an offense that struggles even when they have all their weapons.  This will be like fighting someone with both hands tied behind their back.

  • Las Vegas Raiders +2.5 over Denver Broncos
    • The Raiders have made their business decision and it doesn’t involve DeVante, ok, now that’s done and we can get back to business, like the historical dominance of of the Broncos, who are really struggling on offense even when they eek out wins like last week against the Jets.  Max Crosby will suit up today and that should really help wreak havoc for Bo Nix.  The Raiders have Denver’s number, and that doesn’t change today.

Good Luck with Your Selections!
