We bounced back with a 4-1 week bringing the season record to 38-36 (51.4 %) Here’s our top five this week. All lines are from Wannamakeabet.com at the time of this newsletter.
Cincinnati Bengals -9.5 over Cleveland Browns
As hard as this is to believe, DTR is a big step down from Jameis Winston. And he won’t have Nick Chubb or Njoku to help him in this battle of Ohio. This is going to be a major uphill battle for him as they take on Cincy who cannot afford to lose another game this season.
Arizona Cardinals -4.5 over Carolina Panthers
The Cards finally got back to their winning ways last week when they laid the wood to New England and they even left some points on the table. This week they face another soft defense in Carolina who likes to play zone, where Kyler likes to carve. Marvin Harrison has struggled against stud corners but he’s great at finding soft spots in zones and should thrive on the field and prop markets. Cards still trying to stay relevant for the NFC wildcard and can’t afford another loss and should not have a problem with this defense.
Tampa Bay Bucs -4 over Dallas Cowboys
Baker and the Bucs can’t afford to lose another game in order to keep pace with Atlanta and possibly steal the NFC South and are a far superior team to the Boys who can’t win a game at home this season. Liam Coen has this offense dialed and Mike Evans can’t be stopped. Bucs get the win and cover.
Minnesota Vikings -2.5 over Seattle Seahawks
Seattle got key players healthy late in the week to move this number off 3 but that doesn’t fix the biggest problem they have, which is a man by the name of Geno Smith. Geno is going to throw an interception at a key moment in every game and against this defense, it may happen more than once. Not a great travel and motivation spot for Minnesota but we still think they are the much better team here.
Green Bay Packers -14 over New Orleans Saints
A dome team with a 3rd string quarterback in Lambeau with a forecast of -1 degrees at kickoff WITHOUT their best player (Kamara) and WR1 (Valdez Scantling) out. Need we say more? Final score. 20-3.
And here’s a deep dive on the Eagles / Commanders game from our in house analyst Thomas Quaynor
Good luck with your selections.
