Barcelona – Real Madrid. It’s on!

It’s a busy weekend in soccer betting around the globe and at Wannamakeabet.com this weekend.   The headliner is one of the greatest rivalries in sports. We look at the Barcelona-Real Madrid odds for El Clasico as well as some of my other favorite best bets for this weekend.  Don’t forget to join the 2019 Sports Betting League Championship at Wannamakeabet.com.  Entry is free and they are giving away cash based on how many people join.  Get in on the action and tell all your friends.

A Real Draw?

One of the greatest rivalries in Spanish domestic soccer has been a one-sided affair in recent meetings, and Barcelona are well-positioned to extend their El Clasico dominance this weekend against host Real Madrid. Barca have shown incredible form with just two defeats across all competitions since the middle of November and established the upper hand in the series earlier this week with a dominant 3-0 win over Real Madrid in a Copa del Rey semifinal. But oddsmakers are giving the hosts at least a shot at ending their five-game winless streak in the series, making Real a modest +180 underdog versus Barcelona (+130).   I’m thinking that Real will fight hard and find a way to keep this game even when it’s all said and done.

Tottenham Tumble

Having effectively tumbled out of English Premier League title contention, Tottenham now needs to concern themselves with hanging onto third place in the overall table. That won’t be easy with fourth-place Arsenal coming in to Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Spurs have dropped two in a row to fall eight points out of second place but are still the superior choice in oddsmakers’ eyes to prevail this weekend, installed at +105 at Wannamakeabet.com. That said, Arsenal (+261) are charging hard with wins in each of their previous three games and have been winning at half-time and full-time in all three of those contests.  I love Arsenal this weekend.  Tremendous value and two teams heading in opposite directions.  I’m going to be safe and bet the Draw.

Can Napoli Do It?

Toppling powerhouse Juventus might be little more than a pipe dream for Napoli but if the current Serie A runners-up have any shot at unseating the champs, they’ll need three points when the teams face off at Stadio San Paolo on Sunday. The hosts are a full 13 points back of Juventus for top spot in the table and are a staggering +3,300 to pull off the upset. But they’re slight +130 faves for this weekend’s best-on-best encounter, having gone unbeaten in their last 18 home matches in league action while going 2-2-1 in their last five meetings with Juve (+220) dating back to the spring of 2017.

Bad Timing for Borussia

There was a time when Borussia Monchengladbach found itself challenging for the Bundesliga title but a three-game winless streak has knocked the club out of contention entering Saturday’s showdown with visiting Bayern Munich. Monchengladbach have just one point from their previous three league matches and ending their streak this weekend won’t be easy. They’re a whopping +430 home dog at Wannamakeabet.com on Saturday in the Bundesliga betting odds against a powerhouse Bayern team (-164) that has four wins and a draw over its previous five games. Monchengladbach escaped with a 2-1 victory the last time these teams met at Borussia-Park back in November 2017.  There’s obvious value in taking both the home team and the Draw, which is currently sitting at +327.  But Bayern is just too strong to ignore and bet against.  Bayern Munich wins easy.
