This week’s Monday Morning Sports betting QB takes us around the NFL as we do quick whiparound recap of every game played from the card yesterday at Wannamakeabet.com. It was a wild week with some big upsets as we kicked off the final month of the regular season. Don’t forget to get into the December All Sports betting league. Everyone gets 50,000 units to bet with. Entry is free and we’re giving away cash. Here’s our whiparound coverage of every game so far from Week 13 of the NFL.
Saints Lost to Dallas. The Cowboys started the upset train rolling last Thursday as they beat the Saints as a 7 point underdog. The defensive battle was a nice change and great to see in a league that seems to have exploded in point scoring. Dallas is suddenly sitting on top of the NFC East at 7-5 overall.
Atlanta loses again. Baltimore went into Atlanta and won the game behind new quarterback Lamar Jackson, who himself left the game and was replaced by RGIII in the second half. That famous Baltimore D stifled Atlanta and they won the game and improved to 7-5 overall and 6-6 ATS. With the Steeler loss they are suddenly right in the AFC North conversation again.
Denver Hammers Cincy. Cincy has completely unraveled and got blown out at home by the Broncos 24-10. Denver improved to 6-6 to keep their wildcard hopes alive.
Rams blowout Detroit. It’s not easy to cover 10 points anywhere much less on the road in this league. And that’s exactly what the Rams did yesterday in Detroit. They improved to 11-1 overall but only 5-5-2 ATS.
Arizona shocks the world. The Packers lost a home game to the lowly Arizona Cardinals. That eliminated any chance they have of making the playoffs this year. Head coach Mike McCarthy was fired immediately after the game. That’s life in the NFL. One of the league’s most decorated teams has fallen from the mountain top. Arizona improves to 3-9 overall but are an impressive 6-6 ATS.
Houston keeps truckin. The Browns were blown out on the road by the Texans who were coming off a short week after a Monday Night win against the Titans. Browns rookie receiver Anthony Callaway fumbled going into the end zone after a 90 yard run that all but ruined the hopes of Cleveland who were trying to mount a comeback in the 2nd half. Rookie Baker Mayfield threw three interceptions. The Texans improve to 9-3 and 6-6 ATS.
Jags shut out Indy. In the biggest defensive battle of the day, the Colts were shut out by Jacksonville 6-0. This hurt the Colt Wildcard hopes and only improved the Jags record to 4-8, who are essentially out of it but not mathematically eliminated yet.
Dolphins take Bills. The Dolphins are an excellent home team going 5-1 this season and got one more win yesterday against the Bills. Buffalo had a chance to win the game on the final drive but Josh Allen couldn’t connect with a wide open receiver in the end zone as time expired. Miami keeps their playoff hopes alive improving to 6-6 and 7-5 ATS.
Giants Win. The Bears and Giants played a great game in the rain in New Jersey. Mitch Trubisky was still out with a banged up shoulder and the Bears continue to struggle in his absence. Chicago is still impressive overall as they remain 8-5 overall and ATS.
Bucs take down Panthers. Carolina continues their road struggles. They are 1-5 on the season and lost again yesterday to division rival Tampa 24-17. They will need to figure out how to win road games if they’re going to be a threat in the playoffs this year. They slip to 6-6 on the year overall and 5-7 ATS.
Chiefs beat Oakland. This was a closer game than many predicted as the Chiefs were two touchdown road favorites at Wannamakeabet.com and only won the game by seven 40-33. The Chiefs improve to 10-2 overall and a still respectable 8-3-1 ATS.
Titans hang on. The Tennessee Titans really struggled all day against the lowly New York Jets and came back to win the game 26-22 after trailing all afternoon. The Titans improve to 6-6 overall and stay alive in the AFC wildcard race.
Pats stifle Vikes. A Monday morning sports betting QB column is not complete without a Pats home win and cover. New England’s defense looked impressive yesterday in a 14 point victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The two team Minnesota teasers didn’t have enough points to get the win. The Pats improve to 9-3 overall and 8-4 ATS including an impressive 5-1 ATS home record.
Seahawk blowout. Seattle blew the doors off of division rival San Francisco. 43-16. This was the most lopsided victory of the entire weekend and highlighted Seattle’s recent strong performance. As we all know, even the best teams can struggle against the bottom of the barrel but that was not the case yesterday. Seattle improves to 7-5 overall and 7-3-2 ATS.
Steelers Choke. Pittsburgh was 174-0-1 when leading by more that 16 points in a game. They never lost. There were a few bad calls but don’t be fooled, the Steelers have major issues on defense and clearly missed Le’Vean Bell last night as they slipped to 7-4-1 and let Baltimore right back into the picture to win the division.
