Wannamakeabettors,

We are down to the final three games of the NFL season at Wannamakeabet.com.  We want to hear from you!  Please take a moment to provide feedback to us via our annual 3 question customer survey.

The AFC and NFC championships are tomorrow and that means many of our private leagues are coming to an end.  Listen to our Podcast with Jack and Cello to get our opinions on the final games as well as advice on trying to win your league if you’re in the running.  Here’s what else is going on at the site this weekend and heading to the end of January:

AND NOW… AFC/NFC Championships Commish Picks

The Commish went 2-2 on the podcast and blog plays last week.  That brings my playoffs record to 6-4 (60%) Jags and Eagles were no problem Saturday.  Buffalo let the whole country down on Sunday and then Dak Prescott was, well, Dak Prescott.  Here’s who I like in the two games this weekend.  All lines are from Wannamakeabet.com at the time of this newsletter.

Philadelphia Eagles -2.5 over San Francisco 49ers

The best two defenses square off in the NFC Championship game in Philly tomorrow and young Brock Purdy will finally be forced out of his comfort zone against a defense that had 70 sacks this year, which is nearly double what SF had.  Jalen and the RPO will be coming downhill at the SF defense and in the end in may be the deep ball to both AJ Brown and Devanta Smith keeps them honest and also provides Philly with enough room to do what they want to running the ball.  On the flip side, Dallas wasn’t able to take advantage of the 49ers because of the horrible play of Dak Prescott but I don’t expect the same from Philly and Jalen Hurts.  If the 49ers get down in this game, they don’t have the QB or the wide receivers to climb back into it.  Shanny is too conservative and the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl.

Cincinnati Bengals +1.5 over Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs run defense is ranked 24th in the league over the past six weeks according to my power numbers from DVOA. That’s horrible.  And given how well Perrine and Mixon have been running the ball, that seems to be the recipe to keep Spagnolo’s blitzes honest and win this game.  You can’t keep this Cincinnati offense down, they’re clicking on all cylinders.  And since Cincy has seemed to figure out what’s happening with this Chiefs defense and offense well enough to have beaten them three teams in recent history, I’m thinking that’s going to happen again.  My one big fear in this one is KC running back Isiah Pacheco.  He’s running like an angry psycho and if he gets 125+ yards that might be the winning recipe to beat me in this one.

Good luck with your selections, you’ll need it to cover this weekend!
