Ole Miss / Arkansas Preview – Who’s Motivated?

Both sides come in off tough losses the week prior to Alabama and LSU respectively, although both did cover the closing number. The Rebels can no longer make the SEC championship game and will have the Bowl on Thanksgiving night. The Razorbacks need to win one of their final two games to become bowl eligible. However, star QB KJ Jefferson looks to still be out, and their offense struggled without him against LSU.
The handicap is a simple one here, there is motivation here for the Razorbacks to achieve bowl eligibility, while Ole Miss is all but eliminated from a New Year’s 6 bowl with the most recent loss. Lane Kiffin might be more focused on Thanksgiving night than he is on this matchup. Sometimes when you lose an emotional game at home the defeat carries over to the following week on the road. As mentioned earlier, the Razorbacks need to win to secure bowl eligibility and what better way to do it than on senior night.
The Pick
I like the Razorbacks to control the clock and win a relatively low scoring game 27-20.
