Word Series Game 3 Pick : Astros @ Philles
We almost had a big bounce back in Game 2 with Astros ML and Under 7. A late run in the 9th gave us a push for that under. With a day off on Sunday we now move to Game 3 in front of the crazy Phillies fans.
For game 3 the Phillies have elected to send out Noah Syndergaard and will have Suarez pitch tomorrows game. An interesting move by the Phillies as Syndergaard has only pitched a few innings this postseason. Due to him not pitching in a while I would imagine that he is on a short leash tonight and it could turn into a bullpen game after a few innings. The Astros will send out Lance McCullers who has made 2 starts this postseason going 11 innings allowing 10 hits and 3 runs.
There does appear to be some rainy weather moving into the area so hopefully we can get this one in tonight. However, if we do play this game tonight, I am going away from the under and looking towards the over in this spot. Syndergaard is not the same as he used to be and is capable of letting up some runs. The Astros big hitters have finally woken up and that is trouble for the Phillies if they get rolling. Altuve, Yordan and Tucker have all seemed to found their swing. The Phillies have been feeding off this crowd when at home and will have a very favorable matchup tonight against McCullers. I think both of these offenses will put up some runs tonight. Give me the over 8!
