Astros vs Yankees Game 3
The Astros were able to take care of business at home and go to New York with a 2-0 lead. Through the first the 2 games of this series the Astros pitching has been the main story. They have been able to keep this Yankees lineup in check. If it weren’t for a Valdez error the Yankees may have even been shut out in their last game.
The pressure will on the Yankees today and especially Gerrit Cole who they pay big bucks for him to perform in spots like this. He has been dominant so far this postseason but will face his biggest test yet today. The Astros will send out Christian Javier who has only thrown one inning this post season out of the bullpen. He was pitching very well towards the end of the season but has not started a game since 10/1.
We have been able to cash two tickets so far on the Astros this series and for this game the price is -145 in favor of the Yankees. As much as I think this is the Yankees best chance of stealing a game, the value is too good here with the Astros. The Yankees have still yet to prove they can string hits together. Javier may be a little rusty, but I trust him to be able to give the Astros 5-6 strong innings. The scary part of this series is the Astros are up 2-0 and Altuve, Yordan and Tucker have yet to have a good game hitting. If they wake up this could get ugly. I will take the plus price with the Astros here and expect them to win another close low scoring game. Let’s make it 3 in a row!

Padres vs Phillies Game 4
This series has been the complete opposite for me. We are 0-3 betting this one. We have seen high scoring, low scoring and back and forth action among these teams. The Phillies were able to hold on and win game 3 4-2. We now move to Game 4.
Today the Padres will be sending out Mike Clevinger. He has made one appearance this post season and it was not great. He went only 2.2 innings allowing 5 runs against the Dodgers. Clevinger has been up and down all year and hard to predict. The Phillies will send out Bailey Falter who has yet to pitch this postseason. The pressure will be on this young 25-year-old today.
As mentioned before be cautious with this series it is a tough one to call with two evenly matched teams. I am going to attack the total in this one. I like the over 8 runs here. The Padres need to wake up the bats and this will be there best chance with the Phillies sending out one of their weaker starting pitchers. The Phillies have been clicking on offense and they will have a good chance of keeping that rolling against the wild card Clevinger. Look for Schwarber and Harper to continue to give the Phillies opportunities to cash in runs.
