NFL 2021 Week 10 Predictions

The Commish hit the 60% mark again last week going 3-2 That brings our season win total to 26/45 (57.7%) and we’re ready to tackle Week 10 with this week’s predictions.   Let’s jump right into our NFL 2021 Week 10 predictions.   All lines are live from Wannamakeabet.com as of the time of this posting.

Cleveland Browns + 2.5 over New England Patriots

The Browns were an easy winner last week against state rival Cincy and this week they take to the road again to play the surging Patriots.  This line opened at 3 which is a HUGE swing from the pre-season look ahead on this game, which was Browns -3 and so we’re staring down 5.5 points of value here.  I know Nick Chubb is out with Covid but the Browns O-Line is clicking and D’Earnest Johnson will fill the void (again) nicely like he did against Denver.  Riding the Browns to victory again.

New York Jets +12.5 over Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has taken a step backward.  He looked absolutely pedestrian last week in the loss to Jacksonville.   What has many people (including me) scratching their head is that Buffalo’s defense is ranked #1 in the league but I’m chalking that up to an extremely weak strength of schedule.  Now I know people are thinking bounce back here but Mike White has looked solid in his 1.5 starts and in a division game today in Jersey, i expect them to be extremely feisty.  If it makes you feel better throw the Jets in a teaser but I think they get there either way.

Minnesota Vikings +3 over LA Chargers

Two weeks in a row on the road for the Vikings (both coasts) and the Ravens ran up and down the field on them last week as they came back and scored 24 points in the 4th quarter and our boy Mike Zimmer choked another one away.   But they did cover and got the Commish the win.  Total players will love this over today as it’s currently at 53.5 and should easily go into the 60s but I’m on the side here today as the higher ranked team is getting points.  I have Vikes ranked 11th and the Chargers 16th.    The Vikings will likely blow a lead in this game but they’ll still get the cover when the final bell rings.

Denver Broncos -1.5 over Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are starting to find ways to lose.  In last three weeks it was the Raiders and Chargers and here they come for another AFC West beating, this time in Denver.   Despite my rankings having Denver slightly higher than Philly (18th v 20th).   Denver will move the ball at will against this defense and since Teddy loves his low risk underneath passes all day long, this sets up well for him.  On the other side of the ball, Denver like to invite you to run, which is all Philly does.  I’m thinking the combination of the home field and the big win coming off the Cowboys last week, Denver gets it done today.

Kansas City Chiefs -3 over LA Raiders

The Chiefs are horrible and broken.  And yet they still probably have the highest ceiling of anyone in the league because of the talent on the offensive side of the ball.   There is now a known formula for beating the Chiefs.  Set up a defensive scheme in zone and don’t play man and force Mahomes to either throw into a zone or pick you apart underneath.  If you play man on these receivers they will kill you and that’s exactly what the Raiders do.  So will they switch to zone today?  I doubt it.  It feels like the Chiefs are one bomb to Tyreek away from getting back on track and that’s what we get today as the Chiefs finally only have a field goal to cover instead of a touchdown +.
