Week 10 NFL Predictions

We have arrived at Week 10 in the NFL, which means we’re officially on the back nine of the crazy 2020 season.  Let’s jump right into my Week 10 NFL Predictions.

Cleveland -3 over Houston

Chubb is coming back.  Baker is still on the Covid watch list as of the time of this writing but I’m assuming he’s going to continue to test negative through Friday and he’ll be cleared to play.  Houston sucks, and even though they didn’t cover against the lowly Jags they barely won the game against the worst team in the league not named the Jets.  Brownies coming off a much needed bye and Wyatt Teller is also likely coming off the IR.  I have this awful defense ranked 27th in the league and they are going to get shredded here.   I saw this total at 48.5 and wondered how it could possibly be this low given the Browns secondary is not great.   Then I looked at the forecast.  90% chance of rain and 20-30 mph winds.  Heavy winds + Chubb = Cleveland Cover.

Raiders / Denver over 50.5

I can’t say I’m sold on Drew Lock but I am sold on the fact that Oakland’s defense is horrible.  In fact I have them ranked 31st in the league.  And their offense with Carr just clicks and they will put up a boatload of points here.  I think the division rivalry also puts a whiff of upset in the air on this one and I see a total shootout in a gem of a AFC west battle but this one goes over with ease.

Seattle +1.5 over LA Rams

Value off a loss.  The Rams are an over-ranked defense who hasn’t really played anyone against the best of the west coming off a game they didn’t care much about.  Seattle’s weak spot?  We all know it’s their defense but the Rams offense is bottom of the barrel.  Under normal circumstances I think we would see Seattle -3 or more here and I even think by game time they will be a slight chalk so I’m grabbing this number now.

Baltimore -7.5 over New England

Nightcap on Sunday.  We’ve all been waiting a long time for this one.  And by that I mean Bill Bellichick is going to get humiliated and have his ass kicked on national TV.   Don’t worry, he’ll still have the same expression on his face that he has when they’re up by 30.  I have the Patriot defense as the worst in the league.  That’s hard to believe but it’s true.  And now here comes Baltimore, who has only been playing tough defenses and they are going to run wild on this team and beat their brains in.  For years betting against New England at home was the lowest percentage prop in the market, but all trends have to end sometime.  Perfect spot for the Ravens to put themselves back in focus as one of the best teams in the AFC.
