Commissioner Message – NFL Week 3

Wannamakeabettors,

Week #2 is in the Books

The 2020 season is starting to hit stride at Wannamakeabet.com.  The second week of the season had a lot of drama and injuries in the NFL and the college card still seems pretty lackluster without the big conferences at the table.  Good news last week was that the Big 10 announced they will return with an eight game season starting on Saturday, October 24th.

Join Wannamakeabet.com today.  Join our monthly “All Sports” Betting Championship today where you bet points instead of real money on all the major pro sports (NFL, College Football, NBA, NHL, MLB, and pro soccer).  We’ll put you into a league and give you a bankroll of 50,000 points so you can bet on every game on the board.  And you get 50,000 more points every week.  Whomever has the most points at the end of the league is the winner and wins real cash based on how many players join!  Join today, it’s free!

College Covid Cancellations Continue

Baylor can’t seem to get out of the Covid shadow.  Their second game (against Houston) in as many weeks was cancelled due to positive Covid tests on the team. And they weren’t the only ones, Florida Atlantic against Georgia Southern and Charlotte against North Carolina was also called.  Reminder, any bet tied to a cancelled game due to Covid-19 will be refunded.  If you have a four team parlay with three winners and a cancelled game it will be refunded.  If you have a four team parlay with three losers and a cancelled game, it will be refunded. Please keep this rule in mind as you proceed through the season for both College and NFL.

NFL is Looking Good

The NFL is off and running and (knock on wood) no games have been affected by Covid thus far.  Lines are up for Week #3 and they often come out early so pay attention and get on the early lines before sharp bettors hit them and cause movement.   Prime example, Cleveland came out -5 and has already moved to -7.  It is very hard to find value in NFL lines on Sunday.  Astute bettors hit lines early and even have opportunities to buy back and try and middle the game.

Private Leagues – Better Late than Never

If you’re thinking about setting up a private league that starts a few weeks late this year, you’re not alone, get in touch with us and we’ll help put together something that works for you.  It seems pretty clear at this point that the NFL season will continue to completion, even if that means a cancelled or postponed game is in the future for a team.   If you would like to get into a private league for the first time, respond to this email, our big leagues in New York and New Orleans are still accepting members through Week 8 of the NFL season.

Free Leagues

Everyone gets another 50,000 points this week in the September College Football and NFL leagues, both are free to join and we give away cash based on how many people are in the league.  This is the last week for these leagues.  Tell all your friends about this league because the more people that enter, the more we give away.  We’ve also just sent out invites for a September All Sports league.  This is the ultimate degenerate league as this may be the only time in history where we have NFL, College Football, MLB, NBA, and NHL games all on the same day!  We’ll have a special (secret) prize for this month’s winner.  Get in today, don’t cost nothing.

Have a great week and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Stay tuned to our blog for all the latest predictions, analysis, and special promotions for the season.
