The Rams showed they were the best team in the NFC by putting on an impressive offensive performance yet again to start the week off.  They took care of the Vikings 38-31.  The Rams are currently averaging 35 points per game, which bettors are starting to get hip to by betting the Over quite heavily each week.

Steelers got blown out by the Ravens.  At home.    This surprised a lot of bettors coming off the impressive win at Tampa Bay.  But the teaser bettors thought there was not way they could lose the game by 12 points.  They did.  26-14.  Every bet that had the Steelers in it was a loser.

The Chargers, which were by far and away the biggest play in knock-out/Survivor pools made everyone hold their breath until the final minute of the game.   They barely beat the 49ers.  In the opening play of the game, Phillip Rivers made everyone gasp when he started off by throwing a pick six.    When that happens, you know it’s going to be a long day.  Luckily, Sandy backers got by with the win 29-27

Cleveland, the heartbreak kids, did it again.  But this time, it was the officials that decided their fate.  Two horrific calls (one was a forward progress call that wasn’t and the other was a respotting of a first down that was taken away) in the last few minutes of play let Oakland back in the game.   Then the game was pushed to overtime, where Oakland finally got their first win of the season.

The Colts/Houston game was going to end in a Tie in overtime.  That was until Frank Reich decided to go for it on his own 40 with :30 left on the clock instead of punting it.   This likely would have ended the game with his defense on the field.   The result, as everyone expected, was that the Colts didn’t get the first.  They turned the ball over.  Then the Texans got the ball and got one first down and kicked a game winning field goal.  This shattered Colt backers as the line went all the way down from -3 to -1 before the game.

The undefeated Miami Dolphins went up to Foxboro and had their asses handed to them by the Patriots.  Every time the Pats show a little weakness and let bettors believe that someone can go up there and win a game or even cover, the Pats shatter the thought with a convincing win, which they did this past Sunday.  They hammered the Dolphins 38-7.
