Monday MLB Prediction: Light card and Yankees v Rangers

On a day like today where the MLB gives us a smaller slate of games sometimes instead of trying to overthink things, the best option might be as simple as taking the best team that has the best matchup.  Insert New York Yankees.
After losing their first game to the Kansas City Royals on Friday, the Yankees came back with two strong outings (8-3, 10-1 respectively) to show that Friday was just a slight hiccup. Although Masahiro Tanaka has been suspect to the long ball, this is a lineup that should help him get back on track. Yes, there are a few players in this lineup that can mash but as a whole hitting just .226 vs. right-handed pitchers.
The man who doesn’t age A.K.A. Bartolo Colon will stand on the hill against the Yankees. As good as he has been all year though he is up against a new monster with today’s matchup. With nine home runs in their last series, there just simply is no way to get around this lineup. When one guy cools down there are 8 other guys that can step up and carry this team. Bartolo is not someone who is going to step in here and strike out a bunch of guys, and if the Yankees are putting a bat on the ball early and often I look for them to run away with this game and this series
Prediction: New York Yankees -1.5 over Texas Rangers.
