Podcast Picks 10/27 – Whose Laying too many points this week?

Week #8 of the NFL has arrived at Wannamakeabet.com  and we have arrived at the unofficial mid point of the 2024 season.  Here’s all you need to know on this fine Sunday morning.

  • Indy Colts +4.5 over Houston Texans
    • Division war in Houston today and we feel like this is a bit too many to lay with the struggling Houston offense without Nico.  The Colts get Richardson back, which is a bit of a double edge sword, but they also get Jon Taylor that should help the Colts from allowing the Texans to pin their ears back and come after him.

 

  • Atlanta Falcons -2.5 over Tampa Bay Bucs
    • Tampa is coming off an ugly loss to Baltimore and lost both their stud receivers in Evans and Godwin.  That leaves them without a lot of weapons and we think they may hit a bit of a lull in their season.  There’s value in taking Atlanta today after the bad loss to Seattle and we see them bouncing right back and Kirk taking advantage of this weak secondary.

 

  • Miami Dolphins -4 over Arizona Cardinals
    • The Cards don’t travel well.  And the long awaited return of Tua is finally here.  The Miami offense will look like a caged lion today as Tyreek and Waddle get their QB1 back and take advantage of this awful pass defense, which we have ranked 29th in the league.

 

  • Seattle Seahawks +3 over Buffalo Bills
    • Nice home dog spot for Seattle coming off a quality win against a high powered offense (Atlanta) last week should have them well prepared to play a Bills team who can struggle against anyone in the league.   If we see another inspired performance by the defense today, we’ll get an easy win even if DK Metcalf doesn’t suit up.

 

  • Washington Commanders +1 over Chicago Bears
    • We’re thinking Daniels is a go for this one which will give us value with this line as a home dog against a Bears team that struggles on offense.  And the Bears defense is highly touted but the offensive strength of their schedule is 30th so they have not seen an offense like this before and we see them finally getting lit up today.  Fingers crossed Daniels won’t miss the start and we don’t have to rely on Mariotta.
