The College Football bowl season has begun at Wannamakeabet.com.  We get things started today at noon with the Myrtle Beach Bowl between Georgia Southern and Ohio University.  If you haven’t entered the College Bowl Bonanza yet, get in, entry is free and winner gets $50 cash.

Podcast Picks – We’re still cranking up over 60% winners for the year!

Podcast hosts Jack and Cello notched another 3-2 week bringing the season record to 43-27 (61%). This week’s pod is live and always comes out on Wednesday evenings so make sure you follow us on your favorite listening platform and turn on notifications for new episodes.  Here’s who we like this week.  All lines are current from Wannamakeabet.com at the as time of this email.

• Cincinnati Bengals -3 over Minnesota Vikings
  • The Bengals are hot despite losing Joe B.  And just like their buddies up rt 71 in Cleveland, the capable backup (Browning) has filled the starter’s shoes nicely.  We disagree with the market move in this one toward the Vikes and so it provides value to back Cincy and only lay 3 here.  Especially given Nick Mullins is stepping in for Dobbs today and his obvious lack of reps as a starter will likely lead to turnovers.
• Detroit Lions -4.5 over Denver Broncos
  • This is an unfortunate schedule spot for Denver as it’s their third straight road game and a non conference opponent to boot.  Hard to imagine they fight as hard as they would against an AFC team here.  Then you have the Lions, who have been struggling with division opponents the past month and not playing well and this feels like a great get right spot for them to bounce back.   Denver’s rush defense is ranked 31st in the league, which means Detroit doesn’t have to ask Goff to do too much beyond handing it off to Montgomery and Gibbs and just pound on the ground.
• New York Jets +9.5 over Miami Dolphins
  • We’re quite sure there won’t be a hail mary at the end of the first half that’s returned for a TD in this game like there was on black Friday.   And coming off a short week where you blew a 14 point lead with under 3:00 minutes left in the game can be soul crushing.  Combine that with Tyreek still being banged up, a cluster of injuries on the offensive line including your center, and a still hungry Jet’s defense in a division game… and the Dolphins could actually end up losing two straight.
• Tennessee Titans -4 over Houston Texans
  • Even though we missed the window on getting a good line here, the Texans season is about to take a turn for the worse given CJ Stroud’s concussion and the cluster injuries in the wide receiver room.  Davis Mills is not going to come into this game and beat the Titans, who are coming off a high after beating the Dolphins and clearly Mike Vrabel is keeping this team motivated.  Anything can happen in December, including the highly variant Titans finishing with four straight wins.
• Buffalo Bills -2.5 over Dallas Cowboys
  • Dallas has played a weak schedule and doesn’t play well on the road.  And despite Josh Allen’s high frequency of turnover worthy plays this season, we think the Bills turned a corner with that win over the Chiefs last week and they are now poised to make a stretch run to the playoffs by potentially winning all four remaining games.    Brace yourself for a lot of points in this one but in the end, Buffalo can match anyone score for score and gets the win here.
