World Series Game 2 Phillies @ Astros

Game 1 was about as good of a game as you can ask for to start a World Series. The Phillies pulled off the upset and we are in for a great series. For us that had the under, it was a good first few innings…….

We move on to game 2 where we will see Wheeler vs Valdez. This is yet another great pitching matchup. We have talked about these pitchers at length throughout the postseason. Wheeler is having a great postseason having gone at least 6 innings in every start and has not let up more than 3 runs. Framber Valdez through 2 starts has done exactly what we expect from him, keeping the ball in the park and he has gone 12 innings of just 2 runs.

We have an interesting matchup tonight as the Phillies hitters have been one of the best teams this season against lefty pitchers hitting almost .270. But Framber Valdez is no ordinary lefty. He excels at keeping the ball in the park and could cause some issues for this Phillies team who has had a lot of their success this postseason come from the long ball. I look for both of these pitchers to have big days and that is why I am going back to the under here. Outside of the home runs there were a couple of flukey hits that put runners on. Now we are getting a pitcher that is on fire and one that limits the long ball. I also think we are in store for a long series. So, I will take the Astros to bounce back here at home.
