College Football Picks – Week 7

Syracuse at Clemson (Clemson -13.5)

The game of the week to watch starts early this week as Syracuse goes into Clemson as both teams are ranked and unbeaten. Syracuse is led by QB Garrett Shrader and RB Sean Tucker. Syracuse has been a surprise this year but there defense is right on the level of Clemson defense. Clemson is led by QB DJ Uiagalelei who has rebounded from a poor season last year to throw 17 TD’s this year. Clemson defense as usual has been good as well. Will Shipley for the Tigers is every bit as good as Sean Tucker for Syracuse. Special teams each team is close.

Prediction

Clemson is favored by 13.5 points in this game. They come off beating Florida State last week while Syracuse beat NC State. Both QB’s have been solid but the game to me lies on the defensive end. Which team gives up a big play late. I think Clemson will pull it out in the end but the spread is very high. We are getting value and I will buy a half to get it to 14 and take the points with Syracuse +14

Toledo at Buffalo(Toledo -7)

This game is a battle of MAC teams fighting for a title. Toledo has been no surprise this year but Buffalo has. Buffalo the last 2 games have given up 14 points total and Toledo has been high powered offensively led by dual QB Dequan Finn. Buffalo likes to run the ball and control the clock and last week Toledo got gashed on the ground by Kent State.

Prediction

Buffalo is home and it would seem has a solid edge to upset Toledo. Toledo offensively is much better and Buffalo defense is ranked 116 in YPP. Offensive YPP Toledo has a major edge as well. I am going to lay the 7 points on the road and take Toledo as I feel they are a much stronger team. Toledo -7

UCLA at Oregon(Oregon -6)

This game is going to be a great one as both teams are in the top 10. UCLA is led by QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson(DTR) and RB Zach Charbonnet. DTR Has thrown 15TD’s and if he is on his game he is the straw that stirs UCLA. Oregon is led by QB Bo Nix and a plethora of quality RB’s. It’s all about running the ball at Oregon and they have the ground game that can. Defensively it would seem is pretty even.

Prediction

This has the makings to be a fantastic late heroics game. It would seem it would be a pretty even game on both sides of the ball but I feel UCLA defense is a bit better than Oregon’s. It may be a high scoring game but I don’t trust Bo Nix of Oregon in games like this. I am taking UCLA with the points. UCLA +6
