Week 6 Sports Betting Roundup

Wannamakeabettors,

What a week across the college and pro football landscape in America. There was no shortage of drama this past weekend and all the public and private leagues at Wannamkakeabet.com.

College Football Reigns Supreme

Saturday’s card was epic and reinforced the idea that there is absolutely nothing that compares to a great College Football game. The epic Alabama (49) / Tennessee (52) game was everything we thought it would be and more and then we transitioned to the night card and a dramatic one point victory for the Utes over USC (43-42). For Michigan fans in our Northeast leagues like New York (and there are many) it was a great victory over Penn State (41-17) and path to pump points into league balances and now focus on the game against the Buckeyes (bye) on Thanksgiving weekend. For Alabama fans across many of our southern leagues, it was a disappointing outcome, but hopefully many of them knew that laying 9 points on the road with the defense we’ve seen thus far in the season was too much wood to chop. College Football is reaching a frenzy point and this coming weekend should be no exception as conference play continues with classic matchups in all conferences and upset alerts should be flying as always. Get on those underdogs!

NFL – What We Learned

First of all, the Commish stayed hot this week and delivered again with a 4-1 record to improve the season record to 14/24 (58.33%). Every week, I pick 5 games ATS and post to the blog and send an email no later than Sunday morning.

    • It might be time to admit that the Atlanta Falcons are a good football team and have been undervalued by Vegas all season. They are now 6-0 ATS and sent the 49ers back to the west coast with their tails between their legs after a 14 point loss. This week… at Cincy +6.
    • A member of PhillyMegabux asked the commish why I didn’t pick the Packers this week given their history coming off a loss and playing in Lambeau. My response, “Well right now the Packers suck and the Jets are playing great.
    • Frank Reich has some balls. The 3rd and 13 play call to score a TD for the Colts and cover the spread at the end of the game against the Jags when all they needed was a field goal was brilliant coaching by Frank. I look for the Colts to stay relevant this season based on coaching, solid (yet aging) quarterback play by Matty Ice and a solid defense and running game.
    • The Vikings continue to live on the edge every single week. They can’t hold a lead and they always come from behind. This type of behavior gives bettors major angst and should continue for the foreseeable future. Keep holding your breath with a bet on the Vikes.
    • The Giants are a good football team. Undervalued every week, just like the Jets.
    • For those of you playing in Survivor leagues, Pittsburgh may have knocked you out or delivered good news on Sunday. Either way, their bounce back win and teaser wrecking victory was not entirely unexpected if you look at the history of touchdown-plus home dogs in the NFL.
    • The Rams got right at home and the Panthers are melting down. Bettors will likely try and pick on Carolina in the coming weeks until they show any signs of life with a new regime, new quarterback, new anything.
    • Seattle is a good football team and surprising contender in the NFC West. And if the defense starts turning in performances like they did against Arizona on Sunday, look the F out.
    • Buffalo is the best team in the league with the best QB. Josh Allen driving 100 yards to score TDs and the defense picking off Mahomes with the game on the line was the ultimate proof. Yes, it’s a long season, but If everyone stays healthy, they’re the team to beat.
    • Philly is the best team in the NFC. They aren’t the Bills and have some things to work on, but handling Dallas with relative ease was impressive on Sunday night and reminded Dallas bettors not to stand in front of a train.
League Updates and Post Season Baseball

League Updates – Private and Public

  • Private Leagues in New York and New Orleans are still open. Email the commish to express interest and we can set you up to get in. Only two more weeks to join until these leagues close for good this season.
  • The October All Sports Cash League is cranking and everyone received their weekly injection of 50,000 points. Everyone is chasing the leader, who is currently member “Dabrowns” (over 1 million points) this month after racking up a lot of points betting four team parlays in the NFL. It’s never too late to get in and remember, the more people that play, the higher the pot so tell all your friends about WANNA.
  • The World Series League is still cranking and accepting new members. Entry is free and the winner gets cash. There are daily games for baseball and also free predictions from staff writer and baseball analyst Tommy Lynch. Stop by and join today.
