Our NFL 2021 Week 6 Predictions are ready for action. Coming off a tough week last week going 2-3, which brings our season record on this blog to 14/25 (56%). Let’s get back on track for Week 6 with these five winners. All lines are as of time of posting:
Green Bay – 6 over Chicago
I missed the good number here by not betting earlier in the week so hopefully I don’t lose to much closing line value. But I’m fine laying less than a TD here. The Packers own the Bears. Always have always will until I’m shown otherwise. Despite Crosby’s issues last week in Cincy, the Packers are clicking and playing well and currently ranked 15th by my power rankings. Meanwhile, the Bears are going to throw a rookie QB and a bad coach and offense on to the field and it won’t end well.
Cincinnati -3.5 over Detroit
I have the Bengals ranked 12th and the Lions ranked 27th. Burrow has so many weapons and is building more and more confidence each week. And with the head coach on the hot seat, they stay aggressive all game long. Detroit has been heartbreak city this season with another horrific, walk off field goal last week in a loss to the Vikings. The hangover from that loss continues today. Bad teams lose.
Dallas -3 over New England
Steam has been going against me on this one but I’ve been waiting for the line to go to three to hop on this one. I have Dallas ranked #2 overall and New England #20. As we saw last week in Houston, the Pats can struggle against an efficient passing game and that’s exactly what Dallas is going to bring into Gillette today. Despite some of McCarthy’s questionable play calling and clock mismanagement antics, if nothing else Dallas stays aggressive on offense and that will be the difference today.
Seattle + 5 over Pittsburgh
Geno Smith sucks. And despite the QB being the most important position on the field, he’s not the only one on the team. I have Seattle ranked #9 and Pittsburgh ranked #21. And this is despite a cupcake schedule by the Steelers and Seattle having to slug it out each week in the ultra tough NFC West. This line should be 3, not 5 so I’m taking the points and crossing my fingers for Geno.
Buffalo – 5 at Tennessee
Buffalo is peaking right now and I’m not getting off the train against a team with virtually no pass rush whatsoever and one of the weakest secondary in the league. Buffalo is ranked #1 overall and Tennessee is ranked #26. And despite the historical trends for Monday Night home dogs, there’s just too much offensive firepower for Tenne to handle in this one. Buffalo wins big.
