It’s a pretty quiet time in the football world, at least in terms of domestic European league action. Most of the big leagues are on their summer hiatus. That said, it’s also the time of year when major finals arrive, which we get this week, with both the Europa League Final and the Champions League Final. Both big games feature all-English match-ups. We will also be taking a look at a couple of games on the MLS schedule this coming week, so let’s jump right in. And be sure to check out the soccer odds from DraftKings for each game before placing your bets!

Arsenal Vs Chelsea – Wednesday
The first big game of the week comes on Wednesday with a London derby in the Europa League Final. It can be argued that most of the pressure in this one is on Arsenal, as they need to win to ensure that they are playing Champions League football next season after finishing outside the top 4 in the EPL. Chelsea have already punched that ticket, but they will still want to end the season with some hardware. I have a feeling that the difference maker in this game could well be Eden Hazard, who might be ready to bid farewell to Chelsea after this one. I think he will be the star of the game in his final bow with the London club.
Soccer Betting Prediction: Arsenal 1 Chelsea 2
Update: Chelsea wins 4-1. Highlights below.
Liverpool Vs Tottenham – Saturday
It’s not very often that a team gets the opportunity to make amends at the first time of asking in the Champions League Final, but that is exactly what Liverpool will be looking to do this weekend. The Reds were on the losing end last year, but look to be the favorites against Tottenham, who are in the final after a dramatic come from behind win over Ajax in the second leg of the semi-final. That comeback was nothing compared to what Liverpool did after ending the first leg down 3-0 to Barcelona. I think that Liverpool carry that momentum into the final.
Soccer Betting Prediction: Liverpool 2 Tottenham 1
Columbus Crew Vs New York City FC – Saturday
This was supposed to be a transformative season for the Columbus Crew after securing new ownership dedicated to keeping the team in the city. They also hired a coach with MLS pedigree in Caleb Porter, but things have not gone well for the Crew, who have now lost 4 of their last 5 to sit below the playoff line. It has been a disappointing start for the defending champions of the Eastern Conference, with NYFC sitting down in 6th with 19 points, just 3 ahead of the Crew down in 9th. This is a match-up that always seems to deliver goals, so let’s go with the OVER here.
Soccer Betting Prediction: Columbus Crew 2 NYFC 2

Portland Timbers Vs LAFC – Saturday
It has been a long time coming, but the Portland Timbers finally get to head home after playing the opening 12 games of the season on the road. They will be in a newly renovated Providence Park, bringing with them a 4-1-1 record in their last 6 games. They also have a brand new striker to showcase, with big money signing Brian Fernandez already scoring 3 times in about 110 minutes of playing time. The Timbers will have a tough home opener against LAFC, who have a big lead atop the Western Conference. This should be a fun one with lots of goals.
Soccer Betting Prediction: Portland Timbers 3 LAFC 2
