Recap. Week 6 of the NFL Season is in the books. It appears as though it was a good weekend for sports bettors as there were not too many major upsets, although the Jags did implode in Dallas. More importantly, there were not many outright losses by big favorites. The three big Survivor plays, which were the Vikings, Texans, and Packers all managed to get the outright victory, although it was not easy for both the Texans and the Packers. It was also a good weekend for the Commish, who went 3-2 on his predictions from last Friday in the NFL. Here’s a quick recap of all the major decisions and the sports bets that delivered.
Patriots Win and Don’t Cover. As we predicted this was a hard fought battle right down to the very end. And of course, Brady and the referees delivered a victory to the Patriots. The Pats did not have a single penalty called on them in the game. Over bettors had a wonderful evening as the final was 43-40 but the real congrats should to go Vegas for making such a perfect line at -3.5.

Baltimore routs Tennessee. When the Ravens play well, it seems like they can beat anyone. No matter how many points you got in your teaser with the Titans, it wasn’t enough as Baltimore shut them out 21-0 locking in the Raven/Under combo. The Titans, after upsetting both the Eagles and Jags early in the season have come right back down to earth the last two weeks losing to the Bills and Ravens. League Parody.
Dallas wins big. When the Jags implode, the Jags implode big time. Blake Bortles just looked horrific for the second week in a row. And just when you thought the Cowboys were one of the worst teams in the league, the Jags come in to town and almost get shut out. Now they want to run Blake Bortles out of town. The Boys got the big win 40-7 and did almost nothing wrong, giving their fans reason to believe for the rest of the season.
Oakland’s troubles continued in London. They were dismantled across the pond by Seattle 27-3 in a complete Under route that had fantasy owners and bettors alike scratching their head as they could barely get a first down in the game. Seattle has been looking more like themselves in the past few weeks.
The Jets. Sam Darnold had another good week as the Jets have been lighting up the scoreboard of late and picked apart the Colts and Andrew Luck 42-34. And impressive offensive performance for mean Green. Let’s see how that offense holds up against the Vikings this week.

Miami. The Dolphins held on to beat the Bears in a lopsided game in terms of the betting action. Most of the public and predictions on TV were on the Bears in this one and they did not deliver. The Fins tried to lose the game but they held on and got there in overtime. They stay home this week and host the Lions.
Pittsburgh. Never. Loses. To. The. Bengals. We called it out in our predictions last week and it happened again. The Steelers just have the Bengals number and when the game came down to the final possession, Antonio Brown scored a TD on the final drive of the game for the win and cover in Cincy.
The week started off with a bitter rivalry between the Giants and Eagles. By the end of the game, announcers and fans were ready to ship Eli to the Jaguars in a trade for an unnamed draft pick in the future. The Giants just look awful. Which is exactly why they will likely go on a run and surprise everyone this coming week.
Don’t sleep on any team and don’t count on any team to repeat what they did the week before. That’s the NFL. And we love it.
