Tuesday Night NHL “Fire Picks”

My first pick tonight is between the San Jose Sharks and the Philadelphia Flyers. Boy are the Philadelphia Flyers in trouble… Arguably the worst team right now in the NHL and have only won 2 games in the entire month of November and are currently riding an 8 game losing streak. Now eventually their luck will turn around but not tonight. The San Jose Sharks are in town and they have the flyers number. San Jose is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings in Philadelphia and a whopping 17-4-2 in the last 23 meetings which is not a good sign for the Philly Faithful. Aaron Dell and Michal Neuvirth will be getting the starts in net for both teams in what should be a high scoring affair!

My Second Pick for tonight’s NHL Schedule is another game that should be an absolute thriller!

Tonight the Los Angeles Kings are coming to Little Caesars Arena to take on the Detroit Red Wings! LA comes into this match-up in 2nd place in the Pacific Division with 29 points and Detroit 3rd in the Atlantic with 25 points. The Kings started off the season very hot and for over a month were the top team in the Pacific, but they seem to have fallen off a bit recently only winning 3 games in the last 10 and have had a recent lose to the last place Coyotes and barely beat the injury filled Ducks in a shootout.  Detroit has been on a little bit of a rough patch as well, losing the last 4 coming into tonight’s contest but good news for Detroit is that LA seems to have rough time playing in Detroit. The home team has won 11 of the past 14 meetings but the Kings have only won 6 times in the past 32 meetings in Detroit. I see the Red Wings coming out strong tonight on home ice against a team that is struggling a bit right now. Not sure if this will be a high scoring game but will definitely be entertaining to watch!
